Niger: Intra-Africa trade and tariff profile
For 2019, 56 per cent of Niger’s world exports are intra-Africa. From 2018, intra-Africa exports increased by 33 per cent. The data shows a significant increase in intra-Africa exports of palm oil, sugar, second-hand clothes, rice, tea, woven cotton fabrics, and dried fish. The increase is from a very low base. All Niger’s world exports of palm oil, onion, sugar, cattle, tea, legumes, and rawhides are intra-Africa exports. Apart from Chad and Algeria, all exports are to other ECOWAS countries – Nigeria, Mali, Burkina Faso, and Ghana.
