In 2020, 86% of Gambia’s world exports and 20% of world imports were intra-Africa. Between 2019 and 2020, Gambia’s intra-Africa exports increased by 26%, and imports by 2%.

Gambia’s intra-Africa exports and imports amounted to US$22 million and US$110 million in 2020, respectively. Gambia’s main African trading partners are Ivory Coast, Senegal and Togo, accounting for 81% of Gambia’s intra-Africa total trade.
