Egypt: intra-Africa trade and tariff profile 2020

In 2020, 14% of Egypt’s world exports and 2% of world imports were intra-Africa. Between 2019 and 2020, Egypt’s exports to Africa declined by 20%, and imports by 2%.
Egypt’s intra-Africa exports and imports amounted to US$3.8 billion and US$1.2 billion in 2020, respectively. Egypt’s main African trading partners are the fellow members of CEN-SAD, AGIDIR, PAFTA and COMESA.
