In 2020, 17% of Botswana’s world exports and 68% of world imports were intra-Africa. Between 2019 and 2020, Botswana’s exports to Africa declined by 3%, and imports from Africa declined by 2%.

Botswana’s intra-Africa exports and imports amounted to US$718 million and US$4.4 billion in 2020, respectively. Apart from Uganda, Botswana’s main African trading partners are the fellow members of SACU and SADC.
