The regional phase of the International Training Programme on Rules of Origin took place in Cape Town, South Africa, from 22-26 March 2010. It is a one-week-follow up seminar organised by the National Board of Trade in cooperation with Trade Law Centre For South Africa (tralac) and funded by the Swedish International Development Cooperation Agency (Sida).

The regional phase has three components that will be integrated in the weekly programme. The first component related to the projects is the main feature of the programme (in accordance with the concept of ITP):

• Presentation, feedback and discussions on the participants Change Projects

• Recapitulation and discussions, as well as further capacity building within Rules of Origin, e.g. through study visits and lecturers by relevant stakeholders within the country/region

• Networking and sharing of experiences
