tralac’s internship Programme

tralac regularly hosts interns from African countries and also from developed countries.  Interns usually spend between two and six months at tralac.  Interns are not paid; but tralac has a small budget to assist interns from African countries to cover travel and accommodation expenses.

Interns are often recent graduates or post-graduate students completing a trade-related qualification.  They participate in tralac’s programme of activities; contributing to research, training and public dialogue activities.   tralac’s work focuses on the trade agenda of countries in eastern and southern Africa; covering multilateral, regional and national trade law and policy issues.   Our recent publications  reflect some of our work on the regional integration agenda for this region.

At present tralac has three interns:
